Every year, students at St. Mary's College are offered the basic training required to become Open Water recreational divers. Some choose to pursue advanced coursework leading to certification as AAUS Scientific Divers in Training. Certified Scientific Divers may be extended reciprocity by other institutions, allowing participation in various maritime related Field Schools.
